Dear friends,

Once again, it was wonderful to be in church with actual people this morning. It will be even better when we can sing, pass the peace, and not have to sit so spread out. But after 13 months of being solely online, this feels pretty good. Remember if you can’t be here on Sunday, or are not yet comfortable being indoors with people the service is still being live-streamed on our Facebook page.

I forgot to make an important announcement this morning. I will be on vacation the next two weeks (this will be the last of my 2020 vacation time). I’m leaving in the morning to drive to St. Augustine, where I will meet up with a group of nature photographers to spend the week photographing birds in central Florida. It will be the first time I’ve been out with my camera since Alaska in summer 2019, so I am looking forward to it. Then I’ll have a week at home with Joe and the kitties to relax. I’ll be back at church on April 26.

The two Sundays that I am away the Rev. Claiborne Jones will be with you. Many of you may know Claiborne. She was one of the first women ordained as a priest in this diocese. She served for many years as rector of Church of the Epiphany in Decatur, then for many more as the director and chaplain of Emmaus House. I think you will enjoy hearing her.

We will get these links out to you again, but here are the Sunday signup links for the next two weeks, and the link to the livestream of Tommy Hannah’s funeral this afternoon. As with all livestreams, you should be able to go back and watch it later if you miss it live.

See you in a couple of weeks.
