Dear friends,
This is the third email you have received from me this week. I apologize for cluttering up your inboxes, but this is a busy time of year.
Tomorrow the calendar turns to November, which means the holiday season is upon us. For everyone in this country, being able to celebrate Thanksgiving at home with family and friends is a joyful way of strengthening those ties. We are pleased to be helping Emmaus House provide the basics for a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner for 250 families in the 30313 zip code, one of the poorest parts of the city. Our goal is to provide at least 50 bags with the ingredients needed for side dishes. Emmaus House will provide the turkeys. The families will cook and enjoy the meal in their own homes.
A list of the items needed are outlined in the Signup Genius link below. They should be packed in a large reusable canvas bag with handles, and delivered to church by Sunday, November 17th. We also need volunteers to sign up to meet at church on Monday, November 18, to load the bags and deliver them to Emmaus House.
If you have any questions please call Suzanne Johnson. Here is the link to sign up:

Remember that this Sunday is All Saints’ Sunday. If you have names of friends or family who have died in the last year that you would like remembered, please send them to me. We also will be having the ministry fair after the 10:45 service in the parish hall. AND it is the weekend to change back to standard time. Set your clocks back an hour before going to bed Saturday night. Otherwise you may get to church early, and no self-respecting Episcopalian does that!
With love,
Tricia
