Dear friends,
I am writing to let you know that Heather Robertson’s mother, Sandi Maloney, died this week. Sandi was a long-time member of St. Dunstan’s. She had not been active in recent years, but you could always count on her to be here when her grandsons, James and Sean, were being recognized or singing. Her funeral will be here Saturday, September 4, at 2 p.m. Please keep all the Robertsons in your prayers.
I also have some unexpected good news to share. This week I heard from Sana and Ibrahim Dallou, the parents of the Syrian refugee family we sponsored several years ago. They wrote from their new home in Pittsburgh (where there is a larger Syrian community) to let us know they have become American citizens. Here’s what their message said:
“We would like to send you our greetings and longing for all of you and tell you that we have become citizens and have given us citizenship for our children as well. We want you to share this great joy with us. We look forward to visiting Georgia and you in the future. Love to all.”
