Dear friends,

What a great day we had yesterday! The service was full and the Flying Pig BBQ was fantastic. There are so many people to thank that I’m afraid I’m going to leave someone out, but these people deserve special thanks — our BBQ gurus, John Gimson, Joe Gault, and Alex Pierre; our organizers — Andrea Patton-Weerakoon and Claudia Gimson; our decorators — Suzanne Van De Mark and Jessica Peoples; the fabulous music by Jessie Leyton and her band. And thanks to all who helped set up and take down tables, clean the kitchen, and all the other things that need to be done. And if you missed yesterday. and want some bbq, or if you were here and want more, we have bags to sell for $10. They will be available Sunday.

There is still time to sign up for Dunstan Dines — groups of six to eight parishioners who have dinner together once a month or so. Singles, couples, long time St. Dunstanites and newbies are all invited to participate. It’s a great way to get to know your fellow parishioners. Sign up sheets will be out Sunday, or you can email me and I’ll add your name.

St. Dunstan’s has committed to helping the residents in the Emmaus House neighborhood (near the old Turner Field) have good Thanksgiving dinners. We agreed to provide 50 bags with all the ingredients for side dishes. Emmaus House will provide the turkeys. You can sign up at the link below. The list of items for each bag is also on the link. Please but them in sturdy tote bags and leave in the narthex.

I realize this was a very food oriented email. Tis the season!

With love,
Tricia
