Dear friends,
I’m writing to tell you that Cameron is leaving St. Dunstan’s. He is officially finished here at the end of the month, but he has long planned to be away Memorial Day weekend. That means this Sunday will be his last time with us at worship. Cameron began here in February 2020, so he had about six weeks before the pandemic shut down in-person worship for 13 months. I will always be grateful for the way he seamlessly transitioned to brand new ways of doing things during that time. I wish him all the best in whatever new endeavors come his way.
Of course, his departure means that we will be looking for a new organist/choir director. The first task is to find an interim. Then we will form a search committee, put together a job description, post it, and (hopefully!) begin receiving applications. At tomorrow’s vestry meeting we will be talking about the details of the process.
In the meantime please join me in praying that we will be led to the right person to continue St. Dunstan’s long tradition of beautiful music.
With love,
Tricia
