Dear friends,
As we head into the heart of summer we remember those for whom this season is one of increased hunger because closed schools mean no free lunch or breakfast. Because of this we are stepping up our donations to the Solidarity Sandy Springs food pantry. Next time you’re at the grocery store please pick up a few items for the pantry and put them in the red wagon in the narthex. Elise McIntyre will deliver them to the pantry. Here is a list of the most needed items.
- Cheerios or Granola
- Peanut Butter
- Jelly
- Pasta
- Spaghetti
- Spaghetti Sauce (plastic jars from Aldi are awesome)
- Diced Tomatoes
- Canned Tuna
- Canned Chicken
- Canned Pineapple
Solidarity is also collecting backpacks and school supplies. We have supported this in the past, but this year they are organized a little differently this year. Instead of collecting items at the church, they are set up to have everything delivered directly to the pantry. If you are interested in helping go to the the link below which takes you to the Solidarity website. There you will find links to what is needed, and how to get it on Amazon. Once you put items in your cart, the Solidarity address will automatically be the designated address for delivery.

I had many requests for copies of today’s sermon. It is attached.
I am now officially on vacation. I have a stack of books, a couple of projects, a new camera to learn, and an alarm clock that is turned off. I’ll see you all in a few weeks.
With love,
Tricia
