Dear friends,
This Sunday marks our first fall kick-off in three years. We will go back to two services — 8:30 and 10:45. Adult Sunday school will begin, and there will be a potluck lunch after the later service, and a ministry fair. Here are the details for this busy Sunday:
The Dangers of Christian Nationalism is the topic of our fall Sunday school series. It begins at 9:30 in the Founders’ Room and will be led by Tricia and Joe. Come join the discussions.
Ministry Fair — Would you like to be more involved at St. Dunstan’s? Find out about the ways you can serve on Sunday mornings and beyond — altar guild, flower guild, lectors, lay readers, ushers, choir members, grounds committee and more. There will be tables with sign-up sheets in the parish hall all morning.
Parish Pot Luck — Bring a dish to share after the 10:45 service and catch up with friends new and old.
Dunstan Dines — Supper groups are back! People interested in getting together for regular meals with fellow parishioners can sign up beginning this Sunday. We’ll divide participants into groups of six to eight, who will take turns hosting dinners. Couples and singles welcome. If you don’t drive at night we’ll pair you up with someone who does. This is a great way to get to know your fellow parishioners.
And here are some of the other events on the fall calendar:
Saturday, September 24 — The flower guild will host a day-long flower arranging workshop. Anyone interested in learning more about arranging flowers is welcome to attend. More details to come.
Saturday, October 1 — Dunstan Dines potluck supper. All participants are invited to come together to eat and to find out who will be in your group at this kick-off dinner.
Sunday, October 2 — The Blessing of the Animals at both services.
Sunday, October 9 — The Flying Pig BBQ returns after a three-year absence! The fun will begin directly after the 10:45 service. More details to come.
It feels so good to be back to all the activities and traditions that we know and love. I look forward to seeing you Sunday!
With love,
Tricia
