Dear friends,
What a wonderful Easter Sunday it was! It lacked some of the “pomp” of previous years with no singing, no procession, and a limited number in the congregation. But after more than a year of being apart, it was great to be together, and to join with those who were watching online. This will be the “new normal” for a while — RSVPing, sitting in your assigned seat (which may not be your regular seat), and printing out and bringing your own bulletin, or accessing it on the phone. We look forward to the day when none of this is necessary, but it is a big step towards normal.

Family Promise is having a virtual fund raising event on Thursday, April 29, at 7 p.m. Meals With Meaning will be an inspiring night as we hear from past families, current volunteers, and clergy from a few of our congregations. There will be multiple ways to make donations such as: an auction with great items/trips, and “wine wall” raffle….plus more! You can now check out auction details on the web site: www.mwm2021.givesmart.com . The event is free to attend, just register on the web site. Encourage all your friends and family to register for this FREE EVENT. For each person registered, the Family Promise Board members will donate $1 to the organization. For each person who actually attends the event, an additional $2 donation will be made!
Finally, thank you to everyone who has brought socks for our Lenten sock collection for Church of the Common Ground’s foot clinic. We now have more than 1,100 pairs of socks! We will continue collecting through April, so donations are still welcome.
And another thank you to those who continue to bring donations for the Sandy Springs food pantries. We will continue doing this as long as the pantries are open.
Don’t forget to sign up for Sunday.
