Dear friends,
It is good to be back in the office this week after some time away. As I’ve frequently said, the only thing better than vacation is getting to come back to a job you love. The last couple of weeks I was able to really be away, including some time in the Pacific Northwest. It is such a beautiful part of the country. I can definitely see the appeal of living there.
This Sunday is a cause for celebration. It will be our new music director, Paul Campbell’s, first Sunday. He will conduct his first rehearsal with our choir tomorrow night. I am excited to have Paul join us and to start this new chapter in St. Dunstan’s long history of excellent music.
Paul begins at a time when things are starting to pick up after the relative quiet of the summer. We will return to the program year schedule the Sunday after Labor Day, September 7th. That means we will go back to two services, 8:30 and 10:45, and resume adult Sunday School class from 9:30-10:30. Also on that day we’ll have a fried chicken lunch after the later service. More details on all of this later.
I look forward to seeing you, and hearing some great music, on Sunday.
With love,
Tricia
