Dear friends,
We had a great turnout for our annual parish meeting and lunch on Sunday. Once again I’d like to thank our outgoing vestry members. Finishing up their three year terms are Ralph Paulk, Suzanne Johnson, and Andrea Patten-Weerakoon. And stepping down are Marshall Kress and Jessica Peoples. All of them have served this parish well, and will continue to do so.
We also affirmed a new slate of vestry members. Zoe McMichael, Eddie Belgard, and Mary Jane Hannah will serve three-year terms. And Suzanne Van De Mark and Susan Hauser will serve the remaining year of Marshall and Jessica’s terms. (That means that a year from now they will be eligible for three-year terms.) I know that this group will carry on St. Dunstan’s long tradition of healthy vestries that work well together and keep God’s work in this place at the forefront of all we do.
The other highlight of the meeting was Tom Wilson’s fabulous slideshow of the past year in the life of St. Dunstan’s. It has been uploaded to our YouTube Channel, so that everyone can see it again. Here is the link:
Another topic at the meeting was all the wonderful work that has been done on our grounds. There will be a grounds’ work day THIS SATURDAY, beginning at 9. There will be plantings in front of the church and in the St. Francis Garden (visible from the parish hall). If you can, please bring ferns to share from your own yard, or buy some to donate. If you can’t do that come and help. There will be donuts.
With love,
Tricia
