Dear friends,

This evening begins what is called The Triduum, or the Three Days, the most holy time of the Christian year. Tonight we mark the last night of Jesus’ earthly life, and remember his final command to his disciples — to love one another. Tomorrow evening, in a somber service, we experience the story of Jesus’ crucifixion and death. On Saturday evening, we begin at dusk in the Memorial Garden, then process into a darkened church to hear the stories of God’s saving grace throughout history, culminating in the resurrection, and followed by a champagne and cake reception. All of these services begin at 7 p.m.

And of course, on Sunday we continue our celebration of the resurrection with services at 8:30 and 10:45. There will be an Easter egg hunt after the later service.

The service leaflet for tonight’s service is attached. I hope to see you often over the next four days.

Tricia
