Dear friends,

I’d like to share with you a couple of our parishioners who have been in the spotlight recently. First, DR. Misty Bentz, associate professor of physics and astronomy at Georgia State, is on an online panel sponsored by Science Atlanta called “Unladylike 2020: Women Pioneers in STEM. The panel is Wednesday at 7 p.m. It is free, but registration is required. You can register here:https://scienceatl.org/science-atl-and-gpb-present-unladylike-2020-women-pioneers-in-stem/

Longtime Atlantans may remember journalist Celestine Sibley, who wrote for the Atlanta Constitution for almost 60 years, covering politics, murder trials, and movie stars, in addition to writing a daily column. She also was the author of 25 books, both fiction and nonfiction. Celestine’s granddaughter, Sibley Fleming, is a St. Dunstan’s parishioner. Celestine died in 1999, but she is remembered in a profile in the current issue of Georgia Trends magazine. Our Sibley is quoted extensively in the story. Celestine was also a mentor and longtime friend to me, and I am also quoted in the piece. It is attached.

Also attached is the Compline service for this week. See you online tonight at 8.
