I have a couple of things to let you know about.
First, the latest issue of Day by Day, daily scriptures readings and reflections, is here. You can pick one up in the narthex. Or if you can’t make it to church let us know and we will mail one to you.
As I wrote earlier we have made the decision not to physically house families at St. Dunstan’s when it’s our turn to host the week of August 15. Instead, we are paying for the three families to all spend the week in an extended-stay hotel, with kitchen facilities. That means we don’t need to provide food. However, we are asking for donations of $25 grocery and gas gift cards so that the families can sustain themselves that week. You can sign up to donate here:

The decision not to host the families was made because Family Promise does not require participants to be vaccinated. The question of vaccines is very much in the news as the delta variant of the coronavirus causes new Covid cases to soar. We are not yet ready to go back to mandatory masks for everyone during church, but I do want to remind you that masks are optional for those who have been fully vaccinated and mandatory for those 12 and older who have not been.
