Dear friends,
What a beautiful service we had this morning, shaped around the Fourth of July. It was one of those days when the prayers, scripture, and music come together in a powerful way. That is what we hope for, but you never know if it works until we do it. This time it did. The church was full, and so were all the tables at the lunch afterwards. Thanks to Brian and the choir; our chef John Gimson; to Mary Jane Hannah and Suzanne Van De Mark and all who helped decorate the parish hall. Everything was just right.
