Dear friends,

This Sunday is our annual parish meeting, a time when we affirm new vestry members, hear reports of the past year, and look ahead to the future. It’s also a time for any questions or comments or things that we need to discuss as a parish. As we have for the last few years, we are incorporating the meeting into worship. That means we will have ONE service at 10 a.m.

After the service there will be a chili luncheon. The chili will be provided (thanks, Claudia). Everyone is welcome to bring a side dish or dessert.

This Saturday you are invited to a Celtic Celebration, featuring the band Keltic Kudzu. The celebration, sponsored by Mary & Martha’s Place, will be in our Beech Grove from 3-6 p.m. Come join the fun!

Another date for your spring calendar is May 19, when we will celebrate the 60th anniversary of St. Dunstan’s founding. It is also the Feast of Pentecost, so we will have a double celebration. There will be one service at 10 a.m., followed by a luncheon and festivities. Come celebrate this church that we all love.

Finally, the Solidarity Food Pantry, which we have supported since it began during the pandemic, is moving to a new, and hopefully more permanent place. It will open on April 22. The pantry needs to be totally restocked before then. If you will be here Sunday, please bring food to help in the restocking. The most popular items are peanut butter, jelly, pasta, spaghetti, canned tuna and chicken, and canned pineapple. Other nonperishables are also welcome.  During the pandemic we took a mountain of food to the pantry every week. Let’s see if we can do that again.

With love,

Tricia
