Dear friends,
Tonight in our online gathering for prayer we are going to do something a little different. As our official death toll from the coronavirus passed 100,000 people this week, it seems time to pause and remember those who have died. I have put together a brief service to do that.
The picture is of the mountain of food that Elise MacIntyre delivered to the Sandy Springs Pop Up Food Pantry yesterday. They were thrilled to get it. I read an article this week that said despite schools’ efforts to get food to their students in need, only about 30 percent were being reached. And of course those students have siblings, parents, and sometimes grandparents who need to eat, too. So our collections are of vital importance. I’m glad to say we’ve already started a new pile!
Thank you!
“See” you tonight at 8.
