Dear friends,

It was so great to see many of you in person on Sunday! To hear voices singing and responding in the liturgy was wonderful. I pray that no more variants arise and that our days of “online only” worship are done. BUT we still need to recognize that Covid is not over. That’s why we are still requiring masks, and urging anyone who has not been vaccinated to participate online until you are.

Sunday the 27th is the last Sunday before the beginning of Lent. That means it is time for our “Shrove Sunday” pancake breakfast. John Gimson has agreed to be the pancake chef. He needs a ballpark number of how many people will be there. Please use the link below to RSVP and to sign up to bring side dishes and help with clean up. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0E4FACAA28AA8-shrove

You may remember that last year during Lent we had a sock drive for Church of the Common Ground, a congregation of people who live without shelter in downtown Atlanta. Our friend Kim Jackson, the priest there, says they have enough socks now, but that they could use some help with Hot Chocolate and Coffee. So we’ll be collecting those things during Lent. Here is what is needed:

  • Hot Chocolate (the #1 need)
  • Coffee (NO DECAF)
  • Large Bags of Sugar
  • Individual packages of liquid creamer

Let’s fill us the red wagon in the narthex.
