Dear friends,

What a wonderful day we had Sunday! That was our largest in-person congregation in two years. It was so nice to see peoples’ faces, especially all the smiles. The good spirit carried into the parish hall, with a delicious pancake brunch. Thank you to everyone who brought food, and helped set up and cleanup. And a special thanks to our pancake chefs — John Gimson, Patrick and Joe Gaul, and Mark O’Connell.

Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. We will have special services at noon (no music) and 7 p.m. (with choir). The services will be live-streamed on our Facebook page.

On Thursday we will have the funeral for Missy Beavers, sister of Sarah Hancock, at 11 a.m. Please keep Sarah, Billy, Emma, and Grace in your prayers.

Finally, several of you have asked about the prayer for Ukraine that we used Sunday. It was written by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby. Here is a copy of it.

See you tomorrow.
