Dear friends,
Reading and watching the coverage of the death and funeral for Rosalynn Carter reminded me of this photo gem. I think it was probably around 2013 when Lucy Kaltenbach and Steve Marks took the confirmation class to Plains to attend President Carter’s Sunday School class and stay for worship. I am so glad all of these kids, including my own, had the chance to meet not just a former President and First Lady, but people of great faith and decency who made the world a better place for many of “the least of these.” May light perpetual shine on Mrs. Carter, and may President Carter’s last days be ones of peace and happy memories.
