Dear friends,
I am back from the frozen tundra of northern Canada. It was an amazing trip. I’d put it in the top three of the many photography trips I’ve taken. We saw many polar bears, as well as a couple of beautiful foxes and an arctic hare. It was also hands down the most physically uncomfortable trip I’ve taken. The temperatures were fairly mild, but the winds off of the Hudson Bay were brutally cold. My finger was so cold I’ve couldn’t even feel the camera shutter. We all had so many layers of clothing on that we could barely climb in and out of the van. But it was all worth it. I’ve attached a few iPhone photos. It will take me a while to upload and sort through the “real” photos on my camera. I’ll be doing a lot of deleting! Hopefully there will also be some good shots in the mix.
This Sunday after church a group is going to Pullman Yards to see the Banksy art exhibit. If you’d like to join the outing purchase a ticket for the 2 p.m. entry. The group will be meeting after church and will carpool.
This year we are continuing our tradition of helping Emmaus House provide Thanksgiving dinners to the people they serve. We have pledged to provide 50 bags of the fixings for side dishes to go along with the already donated turnkeys. So far we have 48 bags pledged. The SignUp Genius link is below. If we end up with more than 50 that’s okay. They will all be put to good use. The list of ingredients is on the link. We ask that you bring them to church by Sunday, November 15. And we also need volunteers to help deliver them to Emmaus House on Wednesday the 19th.

Thanks to everyone who has turned in their pledge cards. We ask that everyone return them by November 29th, the first Sunday of Advent. If you didn’t receive a card or have misplaced yours you can get another one at church. You can also send treasurer Lee Morris an email telling him your pledge.
This weekend is the annual diocesan council. It will be at the cathedral. All clergy and representatives from each congregation attend. Our two delegates are Eddie Belgard and Susie Throop. Thanks to them for giving up all day Friday and much of Saturday to represent St. Dunstan’s.
I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday.
With love,
Tricia
