Dear friends,

The day of our celebration of the 60th anniversary of the founding of St. Dunstan’s is drawing near. We will celebrate Pentecost, St. Dunstan’s Day, and our founding next Sunday, May 19th. We will have one service that day at 10 a.m., followed by a catered brunch in the parish hall. We need to give a head count to the caterer on Monday, so if you have not signed up yet please do so Sunday, or let me know so that I can add you to the list. And if anyone has any memorabilia or pictures to share please bring them on Sunday.

Pentecost will also begin the switch to our summer schedule. From May 19th through Labor Day we will have one service at 10 a.m. and no Sunday School.

Our parishioner Jessie Leyden had major surgery on her thyroid last month. Her friends outside of church had meals covered for her and her family for a while, but now they could use some other people to help with that. Here is the signup sheet: https://mealtrain.com/ro44o7

This summer (July 29) marks the 50th anniversary of the ordination of the first women priests in the Episcopal Church, 11 courageous women who were ordained in Philadelphia. A documentary about that historic and tumultuous time, The Philadelphia Eleven, will be shown at the Tara Theater on Tuesday at 7 p.m. I will be part of a panel discussion following the film. I know some of you have already seen the film, but it is definitely worth seeing again. Here is a link to buy tickets.  Ticket link

The service leaflet for this Sunday is attached. Hope to see you then.

With love,

Tricia
