From Lee Morris, regarding giving:

Dear friends –

The generous members of St. Dunstan’s support the parish financially in a variety of ways. Some place checks or cash in the plate on Sundays, some mail checks to the office, some transfer securities to the church’s account at Charles Schwab, and some donate online with credit cards or ACH payments.

The online giving platform we have used for quite some time was purchased a few months ago by a large entity and the changes wrought by the new owner made the system inflexible and not at all suited for a small church. Also, the new owner announced recently it would cease the program anyway.

Thus we are switching to a new online giving platform, called Ministry Brands, which only serves churches. We rolled it out on a test basis recently, and are making the switch effective immediately.

Those who have been using online giving will have their online giving cease as of July 31. Any automatic weekly, monthly or quarterly gifts under the old system will NOT transfer to the new system. Anyone who wants to have such automatic gifts occur, will need to go on the new platform and set that up. You can find the link on our website, with the “Giving” tab.

Folks who have used the new system have found it easy to use, but if there are any questions, please feel free  to let me know, or Alex Pierre, who was instrumental in finding Ministry Brands for us, and has also offered to help with any questions or issues.

Lee Morris

PS- Someone transferred securities to the church Schwab account in July.  If that was you, please let me know so that I can account for it properly. Thanks!
