Dear friends,

Tomorrow will be a big day at St. Dunstan’s. Violet Pierre, the daughter of Alex and Katy Pierre, will be baptized at the 10 a.m. service. To make that even more special, Violet’s grandmother Carole Maddux, the archdeacon of the diocese, will serve as deacon for the service and baptize her granddaughter.

That’s not the only special family connection we will have. Our seminarian Luis Ottley will be preaching tomorrow. And his father, Bishop James Ottley, the retired bishop of Panama, will be with us to celebrate the Eucharist.

Our usual Sunday schedule is to have services at 8:30 and 10. This summer attendance at the 8:30 service has been low — as in nobody was there last week. Since we will be having guest priests while I am on vacation later this summer, the vestry and I decided that beginning July 3 we will go to one service at 10 am for the rest of the summer. The 8:30 service will be back the Sunday after Labor Day.

Finally, our pictorial directories are here, and they look great. You can pick yours up at church tomorrow.

Tomorrow’s bulletin is attached. Hope to see you in the morning.
